Things are not looking too bright for the Tour Operators and Travel Agents travelling especially to Sitges (Barcelona, Spain) to meet, above all wineries, hotels and incoming agents in the Wine Pleasures Wine Tourism Workshop. TO DATE ONLY ONE WINERY IN ALL OF SPAIN APPEARS TO BE INTERESTED IN EXPLOTING THE RELATIVELY NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY OF WINE TOURISM. Hotels, (such as Hotels Priorat and Peralada Hotel and Golf), on the other hand are clearly more than willing to invest in order to gain a greater market share of the wine tourism market. Hopefully, wineries (for the sake of the agents attending!!) will wake up soon!.
